Clinician

Promyse Draper holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Bowling Green State University and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Her experience as a special education teacher gave her a strong foundation for supporting diverse learning and emotional needs. She has had the privilege of working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.

Promyse takes a person-centered and holistic approach to therapy, walking alongside clients as they face life’s challenges. She specializes in trauma, anxiety, depression, and working with neurodiverse populations. Her goal is to provide a warm and collaborative environment where clients can explore their experiences, develop coping skills, and build resilience.

My counseling approach is engaging and allows for creativity with hands-on interaction. I believe therapy should be more than just talking, so I like to include new activities and techniques to promote growth and insight. When appropriate, I use worksheets, creative experiences, role play, play therapy, behavioral rehearsal, and modeling to help practice skills during session to build confidence in use in daily life.

I’m committed to creating a collaborative environment where clients feel supported and challenged to grow using CBT techniques and strength-based approaches.

I offer appointments in-person and through telehealth, with availability during the day, evenings, and weekends.

I am currently under supervision as a non-independent therapist with Shannon Dillon, LPCC-S, OH license number E.0008334-SUPV.
