Alicia Jones
Clinician & Clinician Care Coordinator
As a dyslexic and neurodivergent counselor, Alicia understands the importance of a welcoming and safe space to be your most genuine self. For that reason, she makes it a priority to meet clients where they need to be met and develops that sense of safety. She views individuals as experts on themselves and believes in working collaboratively with clients to address each client’s unique needs in a way that is congruent with the lives they live. She views counseling through a skills-based lens and enjoys helping clients learn the skills needed to address their mental health needs outside of sessions.
Alicia has her bachelor’s degrees from Ashland University for Psychology and Fine Art. She graduated with her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Xavier University in 2022. Alicia is under supervision until 2026. She is trained in EMDR therapy and utilizes Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT) techniques, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) techniques, and Somatic therapy techniques most frequently. She is also confident with other evidence-based approaches to tailor to client’s needs.Â
Alicia offers individual therapy for adults and specializes in treating depression, trauma, anxiety, life transitions, bipolar, substance use, and grief. She is a culturally inclusive, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and neurodivergent affirming counselor.
Â
She currently does not provide services for individuals seeking treatment for BPD, Autism, and OCD due to these diagnoses being out of her scope of practice.
I am currently under supervision as a non-independent therapist with Shannon Dillon, LPCC-S, OH license number E.0008334-SUPV.
