I am a licensed social worker with eight years of experience working with adults and their families, helping them navigate difficult and stressful situations. I graduated with my Bachelor’s and Master’s in Social Work from The Ohio State University with an emphasis in mental health and substance misuse.
In my eight years of experience, I was privileged to help people who were struggling with severe and persistent mental illness. I have experience working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, schizoaffective disorder, personality disorders and substance misuse disorders. Some common stressors that I can help navigate are: grief/loss, adjusting to major life changes, LGBTQ+ related issues, interpersonal problems, financial stress, aging, self-esteem, emotional regulation and much more!
My mission is to always provide a safe and nonjudgmental space for people to reflect and explore their feelings and to learn helpful tools to help make life easier to handle.
My approach to counseling is culturally sensitive, strength-based and a collaborative effort between myself and my clients. I use trauma-informed and evidenced based practices combined with holistic approaches to help support, validate and encourage my clients to improve their quality of life.
I believe that you are the expert of your life and during our sessions, you can expect that I will integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Psychodynamic, Harm Reduction and Person-centered to help you achieve your goals. I am committed to my clients, to meet them where they are so we could build a collaborative and supportive alliance.
I am currently under supervision with Delaney Green LISW-S I.2103076-SUPV
