Nicole Caranci
Clinician
I am a licensed social worker with a little over a year and a half of experience working with adults, children, and teens. I have worked with a range of mental health needs. I received my Bachelor’s of Social Work from Mercyhurst University and my Master’s of Social Work degree from Roberts Wesleyan University. I am currently dependently licensed and operate under supervision.
I have worked with individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, sexual abuse/assault, PTSD, and more. I believe in meeting clients where they are and walking alongside them throughout their mental health journey. I use a person-centered approach and believe that session time belongs to the client and should focus on the concerns they present. I also incorporate elements of DBT, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and other modalities. I like to create goals collaboratively to ensure clients are addressing the areas that matter most to them.
Past clients have described me as a calming presence and have said they feel that I genuinely care about them and their struggles. Many have shared that they feel heard and supported. I firmly believe that clients know themselves best and are the primary agents of change in their own lives.
Services are provided under clinical supervision as required by the Ohio CSWMFT Board. Supervision is provided by Megan Shaffer, MSW, LISW-S (Supervisor License #I.2405955-SUPV).
