Andrea Friedberg
Clinician
Hi, I’m Andrea Friedberg, a Licensed Professional Counselor. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Kent State University and have experience working with children, teens, and adults. I strive to create a warm, safe, and calming environment where each person feels heard, supported, and understood.
My approach to therapy is individualized because I believe that everyone’s needs and experiences are different. I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), play, strength-based, and solution-focused techniques. I have also completed basic training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and am beginning to integrate this modality into my practice. Whether you are a parent looking for support for your child, a teen trying to find your voice, or an adult navigating life’s heavier moments, my door is open, and I would love to walk alongside you. I have experience helping clients work through challenges such as anxiety, depression, and complex trauma, as well as difficult life transitions and grief. My goal is to create a space where we can process and talk through difficult emotions together, at whatever pace feels safest for you. Together, we can find the tools and approach that work best for you and help you feel more grounded and confident as you move forward. You matter, and your story matters, and I would be honored to be part of your journey.
